A Probate Inventory ensures that you have a complete record of contents, enabling you to quickly identify items of value to the estate and important identifying documentation such as passports, pension paperwork, statements and share certificates which would otherwise be disposed of if a clearance company were instructed to clear the property.
Our Probate Inventory service is suited to complex cases, intestate estates, high value estates and valuable collections. We are here to assist families and executors who may not have the capacity or resources to identify assets within a home themselves.
We inventory almost everything. We exclude low value linen and clothing. However, if we find individual expensive suits, dresses, coats, shoes; these items will be itemised and recorded. It’s not down to us to decide which items may be of value to the deceased’s family or estate, so we inventory as much as possible, this includes items which may be of sentimental value
Probate inspections are allocated in 4 hour time blocks. For large and heavily furnished homes we will allocate additional time blocks to allow us enough time to inspect and inventory the whole property.
Legacy Inventory is an asset documentation service only. We are not licensed or certified appraisers, nor are we professionals in any type of cloth, artwork, antique or jewellery.
An Estate Inventory is a living inventory and usually accompanies the Will. A Probate Inventory is conducted posthumous.
